Sane Method Privacy Policy:

Importance of Privacy

Privacy is important. Each of us is an individual, and regardless of what numbers are used to represent us in some distant database, we want to be treated like people, not numbers - and respect for our privacy is one of the ways we can acknowledge that. This policy, and the way we go about collecting and securing data, is meant to reflect that.

The Information We Collect

Because we want to help you keep as much of your privacy as possible, we only ask for three things from you when you register with us. A username, a password and an e-mail address. We need the e-mail address to help confirm your a real person - crackers with bots can do a lot of harm to a system if we're not careful. Unlike some other services, however, we don't use your e-mail as your username - this is because your e-mail deserves to be private. It is only used by us for confirmation and communication purposes, internal to the site - no one else will get it from us! We neither sell nor distribute your personal information.

If you order something from us, we may need to collect additional information from you at that time, including, but not limited to, your name, address and phone number. All these items will be treated with the same level of discretion. If you order on the behalf of someone else, we'll need their information, and will treat it with respect and as much privacy as we can muster.

We also allow you to login/register for our services via external providers, like Google or Facebook. We don't have control over what information they collect, or how it is stored, and suggest you look at the privacy policies of the provider in question to determine what they're doing with your data. We may at times incorporate data streams from these external sites, based on their policies or your permission.

Data Security

No man-made system is perfectly secure, especially not one that requires users to regular input or fetch information. However, we've made our best effort at securing your data, and ask that you assist us in this by choosing a long and complex password, and never sharing it with anyone. Never send it to anyone via e-mail, text or instant messaging - we will never ask you for it - we already know it!

How To Access Or Correct Your Information
